Overview Responsible for financial & operational aspects of accounting operations as it relates to the Accounts Payable Departments. Acts as a liaison to all corporate departments and the vendor community, resolve operational issues and provide sound business advice based on the department’s standards. In addition, this position is responsible for updating and evaluating information presented in weekly and monthly reporting. Prepare account analysis and variance reporting. The Sr. Analyst will also assist in the preparation of client assistance deliverables for quarterly and annual financial statement audits, as well special projects, and ad-hoc reporting. Will have an active role in new system implementations and ongoing system administration. A Day In The Life Responsible for preparation and analysis of the weekly and monthly management reporting of financial results for assigned areas within the Accounting Operation Area Routine communication with all functional areas relating to financial and operational issues and deliverables Demonstrate insightful use of financial data to provide practical advice to business partners and management to drive business results Demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, SOX compliance for all processes and procedures Responsible for the quarterly and annual preparation and analysis of client assistance deliverables Understand and facilitate the integration of business processes, technology and people in order to provide useful information to leadership team Actively contribute in system implementation and special projects to improve efficiency and performance Participate in the development, train, and support staff development Cross train in all accounting areas Research and resolve inquiries from all functional areas and outside clients Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports.
