Augmentjobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Hedge Funds team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, investment strategies, and hedge fund operations. This role is crucial for providing in-depth financial insights, analysis, and strategic recommendations to support investment decisions and drive performance.

• Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of hedge fund portfolios, including performance metrics, risk assessments, and return on investment calculations.

• Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Investment Strategy: Assist in developing and refining investment strategies based on market research, financial models, and portfolio performance.

• Data Management: Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data from various sources to inform decision-making and strategy development.

• Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks associated with hedge fund investments, and recommend strategies for risk mitigation.

• Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of hedge fund investments, including comparing actual performance against benchmarks and industry standards.

• Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other financial analysts to ensure alignment of investment strategies and objectives.

• Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments that may impact hedge fund performance.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CFA or MBA preferred.

• Experience: 6-8 years of experience in financial analysis, specifically within the hedge fund or investment industry.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and risk assessment. Advanced skills in Excel, and familiarity with financial software and databases.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.

• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial issues.

• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Certifications: CFA, CPA, or other relevant financial certifications.

• Experience: Previous experience working directly with hedge funds or in an investment management role.

• Software Knowledge: Experience with financial analysis software such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Morningstar.
