About the Role
We are partnering with a dynamic investment company seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team. This role will play a key part in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate has experience in financial services, technology, or investment environments, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business. Experience with M&A, strategic planning, or early-stage/startup operations is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and refine financial models to forecast performance and evaluate strategic initiatives.
- Lead budgeting and long-range planning processes in partnership with business unit leaders.
- Conduct variance analysis, performance reporting, and identify key trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly board & leadership reporting, including KPI dashboards and narrative analysis.
- Support M&A activities including financial due diligence, data analysis, valuation modeling, and integration planning (if applicable).
- Evaluate business cases for new product lines, capital investments, and headcount planning.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate month-end close and proper cost allocation.
- Partner with Operations, Product, and Executive Leadership on financial insights and strategic planning.
- Improve financial data infrastructure and contribute to process automation & systems enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus).
- 5–7 years experience in financial services, tech, investment banking, private equity, corporate FP&A, or consulting.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel / Google Sheets (advanced functions required).
- Experience with business intelligence / reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) preferred.
- Comfortable analyzing large data sets and presenting insights to senior leadership.
- Hands-on experience in high-growth or evolving environments preferred.
- M&A, fundraising, valuation, or early-stage exposure is a plus.
