POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior FP&A Analyst you will be a strategic partner to either the Sales & Marketing or Research & Development functions. This role will serve as a key liaison between finance and the designated business unit(s), striving to understand company objectives and assisting leaders in deploying resources effectively to achieve those objectives. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding functional goals, fostering education, building trust, and supporting individuals to succeed. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in driving alignment across the organization by asking insightful questions and collaborating with leaders to develop actionable solutions to capitalize on opportunities and address challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster strong relationships with business leaders, becoming a trusted advisor in financial matters
  • Work closely with business unit leaders to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Meet monthly with functional leaders to update the rolling financial plan, review KPIs, and proactively identify opportunities, threats, and recommendations
  • Translate complex financial concepts into clear and concise messages for non-financial stakeholders
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports and analysis to the FP&A Manager and the leadership team
  • Participate in long-range planning and the annual budgeting forecasting process
  • Administer and update level structure, chart of accounts, models, and formulas in Workday Adaptive Planning
  • Assist in ad-hoc financial modeling and analysis, such as pricing strategy analysis, scenario planning, and other decision support

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A
  • Experience as a financial business partner, financial analyst, or related roles
  • Experience working in the software industry strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in Google Sheets (Excel)
  • Experience using Workday Adaptive Planning or other financial planning tool preferred
  • Familiarity with Netsuite, Salesforce, BambooHR, and Domo preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to distill complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build lasting relationships of trust
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to prioritize and manager multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-past, dynamic environment
