Pioneering Evolution is seeking a highly motivated Senior Full-Stack Developer to lead the development of secure, scalable, and modular software solutions for a mission-focused federal software platform. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications that meet stringent compliance, audit, security, and performance requirements while helping drive the evolution of software engineering best practices across the organization. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend services using .NET Core, aligned with performance, security, and compliance objectives. Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using the Angular Framework and integrate them seamlessly with backend services. Lead architectural discussions and provide technical guidance on application design, development standards, and implementation approaches. Write and oversee unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies to ensure code quality, maintainability, and system reliability. Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, data engineering, and product teams to deliver fully integrated software solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical planning sessions, code reviews, and sprint execution activities. Mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting engineering excellence and knowledge sharing across the team. Document application architecture, backend logic, service interactions, data flows, and technical decisions to ensure traceability and maintainability. Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production issue resolution for mission-critical applications. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on software quality, automation, security, and development efficiency. Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 7 years of full-stack software development experience using .NET Core and modern front-end frameworks. Minimum of 3 years of experience developing applications using the Angular Framework. Strong expertise in RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and secure coding standards. Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale web applications in compliance-driven environments. Strong proficiency with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, including database design and performance optimization. Experience conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and contributing to technical leadership initiatives. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a cross-functional team environment. Must be available to work full-time and on-site in the Washington D.C. metro area. U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance are required. Desired Experience Experience developing solutions for secure, compliance-driven federal or Department of Defense environments. Experience with cloud-native application development and deployments in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps practices. Experience implementing secure integration methodologies and automated security testing. Experience with message-based architectures, event-driven systems, or enterprise integration patterns.
