JOB DESCRIPTIONInsight Global is looking for a Controls System Hardware Designer to join a leading automation company. The candidate will be assisting mechanical designers during mechanical design process to design a control system that will enable the machine to preform its intended duties. This individual will be responsible for formulating and producing a complete electrical design package which will include detailed electrical, pneumatic, cable routing diagrams, and panel layouts. This role will involve verifying that their design package is complete, accurate, and safe based on sound design practices and safety standards. The successful candidate will be required to come into the Lewis Center location 5 days per week.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE6+ years of experience in electrical control systems design Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar electrical design software to create full designs from scratch Electrical Design standards (NAC, NFPA, CSA) Safety Standards knowledge Automation or similar industry experience Post-secondary technology diploma or engineering degree or equivalent specializing in electronics, electrical or controls technology.NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEEplan Controls software background
