About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to own mechanical design and verification activities for novel electromechanical hardware systems. You will design and prototype components, develop test systems, and drive design verification from protocol development through execution working closely with engineering, quality, and external vendors to ensure hardware meets performance and reliability requirements.
Responsibilities
Design and prototype mechanical components and assemblies (rapid prototyping, machining, injection molding)
Develop electromechanical test systems for characterizing and testing hardware devices
Develop test protocols, implement design verification testing, and oversee testing with external vendors
Analyze test data, author technical reports, and review vendor-generated reports
Create component and assembly drawings, including tolerance stack-ups and analyses
Plan and execute design verification activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
7+ years of industry experience working with electromechanical hardware systems
Hands-on experience with machining or rapid prototyping
Experience analyzing data from physical systems
Experience working within a quality system
Preferred Skills
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Willingness to travel occasionally
