Overview Senior Principal Industrial Designer. Location: Coopersburg, PA (On-site, HQ), comprehensive relocation package provided. A global technology company recognized as a leader in connected lighting and environmental control systems is seeking a Senior Principal Industrial Designer to join its Product Aesthetics, Cognition, and Ergonomics Design team. This is a key, high-impact position for a design leader who blends creativity, engineering, and technology to bring next-generation lighting control solutions to life. As part of a collaborative team that partners closely with engineering, marketing, and product management, you’ll drive the design and development of innovative, human-centered products used in homes, workplaces, and architectural spaces worldwide. What You’ll Do Lead the creative process for new product design, from concept through prototype. Blend engineering, technology, and design to deliver world-class lighting and control solutions. Collaborate across multiple disciplines including product management, marketing, and engineering. Manage project resources, schedules, and priorities to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. Research and introduce new technologies, tools, and methods to improve speed and quality in the prototyping process. Develop and iterate physical and digital prototypes to test, refine, and validate product ideas. Benchmark design processes and explore future technologies to inspire innovation. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or both. 8+ years of experience in industrial or product design. Strong ability to balance form and function, blending aesthetic design with engineering rigor. Experience in consumer electronics, high-reliability products, or manufacturing is a plus. Deep curiosity for emerging materials, technologies, and design processes. Proven leadership ability with clear communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
