Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAkira Technologies is seeking a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will provide cybersecurity support services for the 55 SCS DRSN program at Offutt AFB. The ISSO will serve as a key advisor in maintaining the DRSN Authority to Operate (ATO) and ensuring compliance with DoD, Air Force, and local cybersecurity policies and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.The Senior ISSO will support the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process, oversee RMF documentation, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the security posture of DRSN systems in a classified network environment.This is an onsite position supporting Offutt AFB in Nebraska. Ideal candidates are those local to the area. Also, this position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide cybersecurity support services as ISSO for the 55 SCS DRSN program.Utilize the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to identify, analyze, and manage risk to maintain an active Offutt AFB DRSN ATO.Process, store, maintain, update, and validate RMF documentation within a classified network environment for all DRSN-related programs.Complete updates to RMF packages within XACTA IA Manager throughout all phases of the RMF lifecycle.Manage and document Assessment & Authorization (A&A) projects using the XACTA IA Manager workflow platform.Develop, update, and track Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) as required by AFGSC and 16th Air Force (16 AF) A&A Teams.Provide assessments on identified system weaknesses or deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to mitigate vulnerabilities.Assist in configuration management processes to maintain, update, and audit the DRSN network in accordance with DoD, Air Force, and local cybersecurity policies.Coordinate with the DRSN ISSM to implement required changes within XACTA.Participate in system discovery meetings to properly categorize systems for ATO purposes and support DRSN policy and process development.Obtain, manage, and maintain SCIF and TEMPEST accreditation documentation as part of the DRSN RMF Accreditation Program.Collaborate with DRSN Operations & Maintenance contractors and ORSMO to develop and maintain contractor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) supporting the RMF Accreditation Program.Interface with ORSMO, USSTRATCOM, DISA, Air Combat Command (ACC), DAO, DTRA, NEC, DRSN local site representatives, U.S. Allies, and other stakeholders throughout the RMF A&A process.Attend required in-person and virtual cybersecurity meetings and provide status updates as required.Job QualificationsActive U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibilityMust be a U.S. CitizenMinimum of four (4) years of experience supporting RMF requirements and providing cybersecurity servicesAssociate of Science degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field from an accredited institutionDoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I certificationPreferred QualificationsDoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certificationExperience supporting Air Force cybersecurity programsExperience working in classified environmentsSalary Range: $90,000 - $120,000Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization.
