Our Wall Township, NJ area customer is seeking an experienced Senior Technology Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This hybrid, contract-to-hire role has direct ownership of infrastructure engineering, execution, and daily operations. Reporting to the CIO, this role will ensure that our customer has the necessary technology and operational processes to maintain a secure, scalable, and efficient IT environment. The Technology Infrastructure Engineer is a hands-on technologist responsible for implementing and maintaining infrastructure solutions, managing outsourced vendors, and supporting enterprise IT services.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and own enterprise IT infrastructure, including desktops, networks, servers, storage, cloud environments and helpdesk through our hosting and Managed Service Provider. (Fortinet, AD, M365 E5, GoSecure, Barracuda, VOIP (RingCentral), PBX Systems, etc.)Own and engineer network operations, including firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.Engineer and operate Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other enterprise services through our hosting and Managed Service Provider.Implement and own managed Security Operations Center/Managed Detection Response.Support cloud computing initiatives and maintain cloud-based production systems for security, performance and scalability.Collaborate with outsourced vendors to manage IT service delivery and infrastructure operations effectively.Develop and implement best practices for system monitoring, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.Ensure security and compliance by implementing industry standards and frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and security controls.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.Assist in budgeting, procurement, and lifecycle management of IT infrastructure assets.Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance IT infrastructure and operations.Qualifications:BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT discipline, or equivalent work experience.10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, network administration, or systems administration.Expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365), Helpdesk Management, Server, Networking and multi-site environmentsStrong Incident Management, Trouble Shooting, and Root CauseProficient in Information Security, preferably in a healthcare environment.Expertise in Systems, Network, and Cloud EngineeringAbility to work both independently and with teams at various levels in the organizationAbility to work in a very dynamic environment with a clear sense of urgencyAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and accuracyStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as capable of presenting the right level of information to management
