The Integration and Test Engineer will support the development and qualification of advanced aviation systems for a next-generation military aircraft program. This role involves planning, executing, and documenting system-level tests, supporting automated test methods, and performing integration activities across avionics, mission, and vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with test execution, system dry runs, and managing test documentation deliverables in accordance with program and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automated test methods to verify hardware and software integration.
- Plan and conduct system-level test dry runs and formal test execution in lab and integration environments.
- Generate and maintain test procedures, test scripts, and test configurations in alignment with program requirements.
- Lead or support test execution, data collection, and analysis to verify system functionality and performance.
- Document and manage Software Problem Reports (SPRs) and support corrective action tracking and closure.
- Prepare and deliver required test documentation, including Software Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs), test reports, and verification matrices.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, software, and hardware teams to resolve integration issues and validate system performance.
- Participate in reviews and readiness assessments to ensure test readiness and compliance with program milestones.
- Support continuous improvement of integration and test processes, tools, and automation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in system integration and test within aerospace or defense programs.
- Hands-on experience with automated test equipment, scripting, and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, NI TestStand, LabVIEW, or similar).
- Strong understanding of system verification processes, requirements traceability, and defect tracking (e.g., through SPR systems).
- Experience preparing and managing SDRL deliverables or equivalent customer-facing documentation.
- Familiarity with avionics systems, MIL-STD interfaces, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments is a plus.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, integrated team environment.
