Systems are increasingly distributed, security expectations are higher than ever, and integration has become a backbone of modern digital architecture.Organizations need robust, secure, and scalable integration foundations that can evolve over time.As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will design and deliver these foundations using Apache Camel and open-source technologies, working on integration landscapes that are business-critical and technically challenging.About Our CommunityYou will join a community of integration engineers and architects who care deeply about technical excellence, thought leadership, and sustainable architecture.We collaborate across projects to share knowledge and experience, challenge designs, and continuously improve how enterprise integration is delivered.Engineers are trusted with real ownership and supported by peers who enjoy discussing patterns, security, and emerging integration topics, always grounded in strong fundamentals.Moments like our Technical University, internal hackathons, and community sessions are where we come together to learn, teach, and evolve our integration practices.What You Will DoDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using Apache CamelDefine and structure Camel-based integration architecturesDesign and support CI/CD-aligned delivery pipelinesContribute to high availability, scalability, and resiliency patternsParticipate in architectural and analytical activities together with peers and client expertsEnsure operational readiness, including logging, monitoring, and observabilityAdvise clients on integration platform and architectural choicesContribute, where relevant, to secure service exposure in agentic or AI-related contexts (MCP, RAG)What You BringStrong, hands-on experience with Apache Camel as an integration framework(API and messaging integration styles, synchronous and asynchronous flows, complex routing and orchestration)Proven experience with Quarkus (preferred) or Spring BootSolid expertise in Java and the JVM ecosystemStrong experience in integration and application security, including: Identity providers, OAuth2 and OpenID Connect, HTTPS, TLS, and mTLS, JWT, access tokens, scopes, and claims. Experience with API gateways and reverse proxiesGood understanding of enterprise networking concepts related to integration platformsFamiliarity with integration testing strategies and non-functional requirementsExperience with Red Hat products and/or open-source integration solutionsComfortable working with: Linux-based environments, Scripting and automation, Containerized and cloud-native deployments.
