Jobs Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (Currently Living / Located in Malta with Work Permit / Residency or EU Passport) Location The Emporium, C De Brocktorff Street, Msida, MSD 1421, Malta Hours per week 40 hours Education level HigherEducation Reporting to the Head of I.T, the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for administering and maintaining existing production and back-office IT systems, whilst providing high level SLA’s. The selected candidate will also be responsible for accurately maintaining IT assets, procuring, tagging of IT hardware and co-ordinating with third parties. Will also help in the planning of new IT systems for internal use as well as for production purposes while always exercising a high level of professional conduct. Responsibilities: Installing and configuring IT hardware operating systems and applications. Monitoring and maintaining all IT Systems and Networks. Assisting staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues. Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving Hardware / Software faults. Ongoing Patching. Providing 2nd line Support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports. Monitoring and enforcing compliance with bank procedures and policies Onboarding and off-boarding of users. Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate); Co-ordinating with the team leader for the timely resolution of reported issues Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with the bank’s users, IT engineers, department managers, software developers and HR. Testing and evaluating new technologies. Conducting general maintenance pertaining to the IT Infrastructure Skills / Knowledge: Windows 10 and 11 Microsoft Active Directory MS SQL Server MS SharePoint Online MS Teams VMware & Hyper-V Technologies Layer-7 Firewalls and Network Catalysts VoIP Technologies Problem solving & Decision making Team Worker Excellent Verbal Communication Skills to promote positive support environment Good Written and Verbal Communication Experience: Have Minimum 8 years’ experience working within an IT environment. In-Depth Hands-on Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies in general. Technical knowhow on Enterprise IT Equipment. Financial and Banking Experience preferable. Maltese Residency.
