Maximus is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with Scrum Master skills to join the Enterprise Technology Program Management Office (EPMO). You will be instrumental in supporting program reporting and process standardization work by implementing Agile practices, fostering a collaborative and productive environment, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions. This is a remote position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the point of contact and client interface for project technology related issues. Manage project expectations, evaluate project needs, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure that program needs are met with respect to urgency and priority. Develop trust, credibility, and strong client relationships; seeks opportunities to add value to internal and external client initiatives. Review all project deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy meet project, stakeholder, and contractual standards. Execute all project management functions including; work breakdown and cost estimation, scheduling, monitoring and tracking of technical progress against the defined timetables and budgets, and staff assignment and development. Lead and direct the successful delivery of application development, systems integration, infrastructure, and product installation/customization services while ensuring that assigned projects adhere to the approved life cycle work patterns, standards, and procedures for solution delivery. Define and implement development plans for assigned projects. Typically responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area. Ensure staff is knowledgeable on the applications and technologies in use on the project and that project team understands and follows processes and procedures. Provide detailed direction during various stages of the lifecycle to include requirements analysis, testing, and potentially programming support. Identify and assess new functional capabilities supporting engineering change proposals and additional follow on work. Identify, track, manage, and communicate risks and issues with stakeholders and upper management. Coordinate, prepare, and manage technical presentations and functional demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders. Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and coach Agile teams: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote effective team collaboration and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners, technical leads, QA, business operations, shared services, and client-facing teams to align priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines. Tracking and Reporting: Provide project and team performance metrics including status, risks, issues, dependencies, blockers, velocity, burnup/burndown, milestones, and decisions clearly to leadership and stakeholders. Impediment Removal: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Progress Monitoring: Track and report on team performance metrics ensuring transparency and accountability. Agile Advocacy: Promote Agile values and principles within the organization, driving adoption and adherence to Agile methodologies. Continuous Improvement: Encourage and facilitate process improvements to enhance team efficiency and product quality. Minimum Requirements '- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 7+ years of project management, Scrum Master, or Agile delivery experience. 3+ years facilitating Scrum ceremonies for software development or IT delivery teams. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or Agile teams. Experience creating project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and executive-level updates. Experience working with technical teams, business stakeholders, QA, systems analysts, and production support teams. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I, SAFe Scrum Master, PMP, PMI-ACP. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses. Ability to communicate project health, risks, and dependencies to technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
