Senior Java Sdet Engineer

Location: These positions require 4 to 6 weeks of training onsite in Albany, NY. Once complete, the candidate can be remote if not located in Albany, NY but must be onsite 2 days each quarter thereafter.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering

Required Experience

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both Development and QA teams, contributing to application code, improving testability, and implementing automation strategies that support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

• Minimum 5 years of experience (maximum of 8 years) in software development and Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) roles within Java-based enterprise applications.
• Must have heavy experience in core Java, Selenium, Spring Framework Angular and current AI test tools
• Strong experience with Core Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, ORM technologies (Hibernate/JPA), Java build tools (Maven/Gradle), and JUnit/TestNG.
• Experience designing and developing test automation frameworks and scripts in Selenium (Java).
• Proven experience in analyzing and writing automation scripts for complex business rules and rules engine.
• Experience developing and testing RESTful Web Services and working with JSON/XML.
• Understanding of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Knowledge of database (DB2) concepts, EDI (834, 837), SOAP UI, Rational Quality Manager, Agile methodologies, AccelQ and UI Path.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and database validation techniques.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Minimum 1 year of experience supporting large-scale, enterprise applications with high availability and complex integrations.
• Ability to write simple and complex SQL Queries, preferably with DB2 SQL syntax including PL/SQL
• Healthcare, Medicaid, or Health Exchange experience.
• Experience with Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Experience in Mobile Testing
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Familiarity with performance and security testing.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
