JOB TITLE:

Remote Senior Manager Demand & Supply Planning

JOB TYPE:

Full-time

JOB LOCATION:

Union New Jersey United States

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Who We Are:

Do you believe in good korma? Do samosas give you all the fillings? If you take efficient growth and food seriously but not yourself (and enjoy a good pun), we might have a job for you.

First, a little more about us.
We are Deep Indian Kitchen®.
You may have seen us in the frozen aisles of 20,000 natural and conventional grocery, mass, club, and drug stores or been to our chain of 3 fast-casual restaurants in NYC and NJ.
Or, if you shop at Indian grocery stores, you know our parent company, Deep Foods Inc.
, as your trusted manufacturer and brand with over 800 SKUs.
Our brand is on fire now, but it hasn’t been long since late 2019 when we began a turnaround and rebrand of our Tandoor Chef® frozen brand and Indikitch® restaurants to Deep Indian Kitchen®.
Our differentiated approach and products have made us the #1 fastest-selling natural frozen entrees brand in America, with rapid household penetration growth, over 181K followers on Instagram and TikTok…we could go on.
And we know it’s cliché to say, “We’re just getting started,” but we don’t know of any other aspiring ‘platform brand’ that gets to pick and choose from an 800 SKU innovation pipeline.

What You Will Do:

Back to the point: you.
We seek a Sr.
Manager, Demand and Supply Planning to join our Supply Chain Operations team and lead our S&OP process.
Responsibilities will include Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, Commercialization, and SOPs in partnership with our Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Plant Management teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and optimization of the Sales & Ops Planning processes.
  • Build and lead the growing team of demand and supply planners.
  • Develop and execute integrated demand and supply plans to meet customer service expectations, inventory targets, and cost objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, logistics, procurement, and production teams to ensure supply meets customer demand.
  • Identify demand and supply patterns, trend changes, causal relationships, and main drivers behind baseline and promotional volume changes.
  • Lead monthly S&OP meetings to align functions and stakeholders on the operational plan.
  • Develop and maintain planning KPIs to optimize the function’s effectiveness.
  • Build SOPs for driving execution to benchmark to success.
  • Accountability for optimizing Inventory Management across the supply chain network of finished goods, packaging, and unique raw ingredients.
  • Incorporate capacity planning and new product launch commercialization in the S&OP processes.
  • Oversight of the planning tech stacks in partnership with IT, Finance, and Sales
  • Create and maintain reports that will aid in achieving the planning function’s goals and objectives.
  • The scope of this role may change as needed.
Who You Are:

We need the right person who is excited by the chance to build, lead and develop a demand-supply planning team in creating efficiencies, analyzing success vs KPIs, and pursuing accuracies in the midst of some chaos – namely a rapidly growing and frequently evolving mix of retailers, distributors and products.
Our ideal candidate will have tenacity, passion for food, the ability to lead strategy and execution, and classical training and/or growth brand experience.

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree required in supply chain management, logistics, business, or related fields.
  • 8-12 years of experience in a CPG supply chain planning and management role or related position, preferably with emerging brand experience.
  • Exceptional people leadership and management skills – up, down, and lateral.
  • Strong forecasting, planning, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to self-motivate, motivate others, prioritize and organize.
  • Restless dissatisfaction with the status quo and a desire to network and/or research to find new solutions or learn best practices.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerBI, Google Suite
  • Experience with Demand Planning software like Modus Planning is preferred.
  • APICS or IBF certification preferred.
  • Located in our Union, NJ headquarters.
  • Willingness to work in a Hybrid remote/Office environment (2.
5 days a week in the office)
  • Reports to Sr.
Director, Head of Operations, Deep Indian Kitchen.
About Deep Indian Kitchen / Deep Foods

Deep Indian Kitchen’s parent company, Deep Foods, was founded by the Amin family matriarch, Bhagwati Amin, and is now owned and operated by three generations of the Amin family.
In late 2019, Deep Foods launched the Deep Indian Kitchen brand, which includes a line of frozen foods and three NYC-metro-based Fast Casual Restaurants, to elevate and expand access to Indian food in mainstream America.
It has become one of the fastest-growing frozen food brands in the U.
S.
and the #1 Indian brand on social media.
Its delicious, authentic, always-made-from-scratch frozen meals and appetizers are available in 20,000 grocery stores nationwide.

Deep Foods is the leader in Indian cuisine in North America, with operations in the US, Canada, India, and Australia, and it makes frozen meals, bread, appetizers, snacks, beverages, dairy, and pantry essentials.
Our brands include Bansi®, Babu’s®, Bhagwati’s®, Deep, Deep Indian Kitchen®, Healthy Tiffin®, Hot Mix®, Mirch Masala®, Reena’s®, and Udupi.
® Since 1977, we have had one simple purpose: to share all of India through made-from-scratch, authentically crafted food and drinks.
As a family-owned and operated company, it’s our mission that our food not only tastes good but also does good.
That’s why every purchase of our products benefits the Deepkiran Foundation, which helps provide access to education for underprivileged children in rural India.
You can find our more than 800 products in stores across the ethnic, natural, conventional, club, drug, mass, and e-commerce retail channels.

 Deep Foods Inc.
is an equal-opportunity employer with competitive compensation and benefits.
