Position Summary: The Senior Manager of Estimating/Design will be responsible for overseeing the estimating process for our company, ensuring that all projects are accurately estimated and completed within budget. The Senior Manager of Estimating works closely with sales, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed estimates and proposals that meet our clients' needs. The Senior Manager of Estimating  is adept at managing complex estimating projects and has a deep understanding of the precast construction industry. 

Essential Job Functions/Duties: 

• Preside over the internal operations estimating team; providing direction and support as needed 

• Responsible for managing a team of outsourced estimating employees 

• Oversee the development of detailed estimates and proposals that meet client needs 

• Collaborate with sales, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate estimates 

• Govern estimating lead times by communicating the required time frame to the sales team and ensuring that projects are estimated and returned within the specified timeframe 

• Interpret daily and monthly reports to determine priorities and meet customer expectations and goals 

• Provide coaching, development, and career pathing for leaders within the estimating team 

• Drive the business’ estimating strategy by anticipating market trends, consumer behavior, and industry demand 

• Analyze daily and monthly team performance to provide feedback, close gaps and increase proficiency 

• Continuously improve the estimating process to increase efficiency and accuracy 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field 

• 10+ years of experience in precast construction estimating 

• Proven track record of managing complex estimating projects 

• Deep understanding of precast construction industry standards and practices 

• Excellent communication and leadership skills 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field 

• Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam 

• Proficiency using Titan ERP is a plus
