We are actively seeking an experienced professional to take on a leadership role as the Senior Manager of Product Management. In this key position, you will be instrumental in leading a team of product managers, providing strong mentorship and coaching, and driving the success of our on-market products. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting the entire life cycle of our products, including the development of an effective end-of-life strategy. Your expertise will be essential in providing valuable insights for our product roadmap.

Team Leadership

Product Strategy And Execution

Product Life Cycle Management

  • Support the entire life cycle of our products, from ideation and development to launch and beyond.
  • Take ownership of the products' success and contribute to continuous improvement throughout their life cycle.
  • Develop and implement effective end-of-life strategies for products.

Mentorship And Coaching

  • Be a strong mentor and coach to product managers, assisting them in enhancing their skills, overcoming challenges, and reaching their full potential.

Insights For Product Roadmap

  • Provide valuable insights and strategic input to shape the product roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of product managers.
  • Strong mentorship and coaching skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in driving the success of on-market products.
  • In-depth understanding of product life cycle management, including end-of-life strategies.

Additional Responsibilities For Marketing Leadership

  • Develop comprehensive strategic and tactical plans for product initiatives, including future product launches, and ensure alignment with the company's priorities.
  • Lead and coach a team of product managers to execute on company priorities and product strategy. Grow the organizational structure to align with company demands.
  • Analyze competitive activity and barriers to product adoption, developing strategies to overcome these challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and execute the product roadmap, including involvement in product development decisions.
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand gaps and needs, developing effective tools for the field.
  • Identify, foster, and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the product domain.
  • Analyze clinical and market data to assess future product messaging opportunities.
  • Closely manage timelines across all product management activities to drive execution.
  • Set metrics to measure the effectiveness of product management programs.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelors degree required, MBA or PhD a plus.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of industry experience in Product Management.
  • Prior experience as a marketing leader for a major product line.
  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated track record of effective collaboration in cross-functional settings.
  • Experience in hardware product development is desirable.
  • Knowledge of next-generation sequencing customer segments and applications is preferred.
  • Prior experience in clinical genomic applications is highly desired.
  • Effective public speaking skills and executive-level presentation experience.

Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individuals qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
