Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Senior Manufacturing Engineer to work on-site with our client, a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of precision control components company. This role focuses on supporting prismatic (complex milling) manufacturing processes for new product development and continuous improvement for existing production programs. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new manufacturing processes and evaluate emerging technologies.
- Coordinate Design for Manufacturing efforts for new/existing programs.
- Create tooling, gauges, NC programs, and detailed operation sheets for complex milled components.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
- Provide cost estimates for new business opportunities and process enhancements.
- Lead capital equipment evaluation, procurement, and implementation projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and mentor team members.
- Support automated manufacturing cells and drive process stability to reduce human variation.
- Perform hands-on machine program proveouts with shop personnel.
- Participate in global manufacturing initiatives with potential for limited travel (5% annually).
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering/Technology (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience with milled parts and hands-on machining.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM programming, preferably Siemens NX, and G&M code programming.
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, automation tooling, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Expertise in 5-axis machining centers, with experience in Okuma MU or Mazak I platforms preferred.
- Skilled in aerospace materials machining, including aluminum, titanium, and stainless steels.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and advanced manufacturing systems.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Lean certification and MS Project experience are a plus.
