Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Locations: Corry, PA / East Aurora, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 per year

Industry: Manufacturing / Precision Machining / Aerospace


Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations by developing efficient manufacturing processes, optimizing machining performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a key part in improving productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency within a machining or manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining or CNC programming experience and the ability to collaborate closely with production teams to support new product launches, process improvements, and daily manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality
  • Create, test, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM systems
  • Support new product launches, tooling setup, and process validation
  • Troubleshoot machining and production issues on the shop floor
  • Conduct time studies and establish production standards
  • Develop work instructions and manufacturing documentation
  • Support quoting and cost estimation activities
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards


Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–10+ years of manufacturing or machining experience
  • Experience working in a CNC machining or production environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • CNC programming experience (NX, Mastercam, Mazatrol, or similar)
  • Hands-on machining experience with CNC mills or lathes
  • Experience supporting new product launches or process improvements
  • Knowledge of tooling, speeds, and feeds
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Aerospace or precision machining experience
