Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. This role involves providing engineering support for product lines, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for product lines, including troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
Lead and participate in Kaizen events to identify and implement process improvements.
Conduct process qualifications on manufacturing machines and prepare validation protocols.
Perform engineering studies using statistical analysis tools and root cause analysis methodologies.
Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement Lean Six Sigma principles to enhance manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions, engineering change orders, and process optimization projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong expertise in Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC, 5S, SPC, Process Capabilities, Takt rate, OEE, and Kaizen events.
Proficiency in documenting and writing SOPs, Work Instructions, and training materials.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct statistical analysis and root cause analysis.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in using software tools such as SolidWorks, MS Project, Minitab, AutoCAD, Smartsheet, Outlook, and Excel.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is a plus.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving significant cost savings and efficiency gains.
Experience in conducting time studies and implementing lean manufacturing techniques.
