Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – Hands-On MFG & Tooling Focus Waukesha County (Local candidates only) | Floor-Engaged + Project Ownership Role | $100K – $110K + 7% Annual BonusWe’re seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing team and play a critical role in driving hands-on process improvements, tooling design, and manufacturing support within a collaborative, floor-focused environment. This is a key contributor role, ideal for someone who thrives in a smaller, fast-growing, and team-oriented company where ownership, initiative, and direct shop floor engagement are highly valued. About the OpportunityYou’ll join a tight-knit engineering team, working side-by-side with operators, technicians, and leaders to implement tooling solutions, optimize processes, and lead small projects from concept to execution. This is not a desk-only role—you’ll spend significant time on the shop floor, ensuring that your engineering work translates into real-world results.With recent investments in state-of-the-art equipment from Spain and Germany, and a recent expansion to a 100,000 sq. ft. facility, this is an opportunity to be part of a company that is growing, modernizing, and investing in its people. What You’ll DoLead and support process improvements, tooling design, and manufacturability evaluationsCreate and modify SolidWorks drawings, focusing on tooling and fixturesCollaborate directly with operators, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are implemented effectivelyProvide hands-on shop floor support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving alongside operatorsManage small projects, support vendor communications, and drive projects forward with minimal oversightParticipate in cross-functional teams, helping build a proactive and collaborative culture What You Bring5-15 years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineeringStrong SolidWorks proficiency (or other 3D CAD)—must be able to demonstrate skills in a hands-on CAD testProven ability to solve problems directly on the shop floor, working closely with operators and production teamsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering requiredHands-on, floor-engaged mindset—not seeking pure process or industrial engineers Ideal AttributesSelf-starter who takes ownership of projects and drives them forward without waiting for directionClear communicator—able to articulate past project work confidently in interviewsThrives in a mid-sized, private company environment that is flexible, fast-growing, and values getting things doneTeam-oriented, collaborative, and humble—fits well in a "player-coach" culture Compensation & Benefits$90K – $110K base + 7% Annual Bonus (Managers at 10%)401K with 50% match up to 5%Flexible PTO + 10 Paid HolidaysHealth InsuranceLimited travel (~5%, with occasional international trips to Spain or Germany possible) Why JoinThis is an opportunity to have a real, hands-on impact in a financially stable, fast-growing company that invests in its people and equipment.
