Job Full Description We are partnered with a family owned machining company hiring for a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer/5-Axis CNC Programmer to join their precision machining team. This is a hands-on engineering position responsible for programming, proving out, setting up, and optimizing complex precision components, with a primary focus on the Mori NTX Mill-Turn platform. This individual will own projects from blueprint through production while supporting continuous improvement across the shop. Key Responsibilities: Program complex precision components for 5-axis CNC machining and mill-turn applications. Program, prove out, optimize, and troubleshoot Mori NTX Mill-Turn machines. Support additional platforms including Grob, Enshu, various 3-axis mills, and CNC lathes. Develop machining processes from engineering drawings and CAD models. Perform machine setups, first article prove-outs, inspections, and production validation. Run and inspect your own parts to ensure program accuracy and quality. Develop and improve tooling, fixturing, and machining strategies. Optimize cycle times while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards. Collaborate with machinists and production personnel to successfully launch new jobs. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, quality, and process issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing. Qualifications: 10-20+ years of CNC machining/programming experience preferred. Extensive experience with 5-axis CNC programming. Strong experience programming Mori NTX Mill-Turn machines preferred. Ability to independently create machining programs from blueprints. Hands-on setup, prove-out, and first article experience. Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation. Experience with tooling selection, process development, and fixture design. Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances on precision components. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience using Fusion 360 and/or PartMaker CAM software. Preferred Background: Precision machining environment. Aerospace, medical, or other high-precision manufacturing. Multi-axis mill-turn machining.
