Our firm is working with a growing Manufacturing plant in the Southern Tier of Upstate NY. They are looking for Senior Design Engineers to lead the development of advanced mechanical componentsResponsibilities

• Develop, design, and test fixtures and tools for various machining
• Develop manufacturing routings and analyze engineering change notices
• Participate in design for manufacturability reviews
• Lead product/process improvements and cost out initiatives.
• Perform root cause analysis
• Program CNC for various milling, turning and operations and ensure optimum cycle time and tools selection.

Qualifications and requirements

• 10 years+ in a shop floor manufacturing environment preferably aerospace products
• US Citizen
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or Master degree with 7 years of experience.
• Must have at least 5-years of CAD 3D & 2D drawings software experience preferably Creo and Esprit Edge CNC programming.
• Lean Six-Sigma process improvement experience
• At least 3-years experience in designing fixtures and tools for machining operations and assemblies
• Familiarity with vacuum and dip brazing processes
