Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead product development projects, create innovative designs for waterfront structures and systems, and oversee design validation processes. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with industry standards, and continuously improve existing products to enhance functionality and efficiency. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting, producing technical documentation, and supporting manufacturing operations.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design tools
  • Proficiency in PDM software and product management tools
  • Experience with product development, prototyping, and design for manufacturing
  • Knowledge of material selection, structural analysis, and mechanical systems
  • Experience with experimental testing and report writing
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or product development
  • Experience in the marine or waterfront industries is a plus
  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards and compliance requirements
