Position Summary:

An esteemed organization is seeking two Senior Mechanical Engineers-one based in the Denver Metropolitan Area and the other in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. In this leadership role, the engineer will oversee mechanical design, manage project teams, and ensure successful delivery of high-quality HVAC and plumbing systems for diverse projects, including healthcare, research labs, and educational institutions. While design experience is important, this role focuses on project management and team leadership. The group is offering a rate of $120K-$150K a year
Key Responsibilities

1. HVAC and Plumbing Design:

  • Oversee design, calculations, and specifications for HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Review and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for complex mechanical systems.

2. Project Management:

  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept to final completion.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors.

3. Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Lead and mentor project teams comprising designers and junior engineers.
  • Conduct quality reviews of designs and documents to ensure project excellence.
  • Drive innovation by staying updated on industry trends and sustainable practices.

4. Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Participate in client presentations, project updates, and proposal discussions.
  • Support business development efforts to secure repeat and new clients.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 15+ years of experience in mechanical building systems, with expertise in HVAC and plumbing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring project teams.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.
  • Extensive experience with healthcare or educational building projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of building codes, standards, and HVAC system regulations.
  • Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or TRACE.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and energy modeling is a plus.
