Senior Mechanical Engineer - 632423Melbourne, FLAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a leadership role within the department, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the engineering team while providing mentorship to support both technical growth and career development. You will be responsible for managing projects of all sizes, from initial concept through to the completion of construction, with the advantage of working closely with other in-house disciplines to ensure seamless coordination. In this role, you will take charge of projects, working directly with clients, delivering technical expertise, and managing project teams and timelines to ensure successful project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead, supervise, and mentor mechanical engineering staff, supporting their technical and professional growth.Manage and oversee a wide range of projects, ensuring seamless execution from concept to construction completion.Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate mechanical engineering systems with other building systems.Interface with clients to provide technical leadership and project management.Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, addressing any challenges to ensure successful outcomes.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.Professional Engineering (PE) license.10+ years of experience in an architectural/engineering environment, with a focus on mechanical systems.Proven success in managing complex engineering projects.Expertise in healthcare engineering and familiarity with related fields.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to engage with clients and team members.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated leadership and work ethic.At The Planet Group, we connect Engineering experts with opportunities that match their skills, goals, and ambition.
