Senior Network Engineer (Broward) Apply
Ledgent Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer. This is an ongoing contract role with the potential for conversion to a permanent position based on performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in managing and configuring Palo Alto firewalls and a Cisco environment, including both hardware and wireless components.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network solutions using Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco hardware and wireless technologies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Perform network monitoring, analysis, and reporting to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement network policies and procedures.
- Provide on-site support 5 days per week to address network-related issues and projects.
- Be on call every other weekend to handle network emergencies and critical incidents.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco environments.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, VPNs, and threat prevention.
- Extensive experience with Cisco hardware and wireless technologies, including routers, switches, and access points.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to be on call every other weekend for network emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
