Senior Network Engineer

Systems Integration & Development (SID) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in Rockville, MD and is currently seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer. This is a full-time position available onsite (hybrid) in New Carrollton, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues. Provide Level 3 routing and switching support.
• Provide Support for BareMetal setups (network device refreshes)
• Monitor incoming tickets and take the appropriate action, including updates and closures.
• Provide “state of the network” status reports throughout the shift.
• Troubleshoot VPN access tickets
• Monitor and open tickets for selected network events.
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VPNs
• Troubleshooting WAN and LAN network issues with connectivity
• Experience with network security practices and tools
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper devices
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Relevant certifications (such as CCNA or CCNP) are preferred
