Job Title: Senior Network Security Consultant VPN Review & Cryptographic Modernization
Location: Remote US
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Range: $60/hr - $70/hr
Role Overview: Senior Network/Security Consultant to conduct a comprehensive review and modernization of IPSec VPN environments across U.S. and international networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory and document all Site-to-Site VPN tunnels
- Validate tunnel activity, configurations, and cryptographic standards
- Perform traffic and NetFlow analysis
- Map VPNs to application owners using CMDB tools
- Provide audit documentation and remediation support
- Coordinate changes with internal teams and relevant technical contacts
Required Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in IPSec VPNs and cryptography
- Strong audit, validation, and documentation skills
- Experience with global enterprise environments
- Familiarity with tools such as Niksun, NetScout, Wireshark, NetFlow/StealthWatch, Infoblox, and CMDB
