Senior Network & Systems Security Analyst Lutz, FL (Onsite Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM; hours may vary based on workload)
Position Overview The Network & Systems Security Analyst is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supporting new and existing network, server, and storage infrastructure. This role also ensures all network security controls are in place in accordance with IT security policies and guidelines.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Plan, design, and implement network, server, and storage infrastructure based on project requirements, capacity planning, and system support
Perform troubleshooting using the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, including coordinating equipment repairs and escalating issues as needed
Monitor systems to detect and correct errors or work stoppages; adjust configurations as necessary
Install and support network, server, and storage hardware and software
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, maintenance, and documentation
Provide security consulting and support across infrastructure platforms (firewalls, operating systems, and network devices)
Deliver second-level technical support for security systems and authentication mechanisms across operating systems
Level 2 Responsibilities (Additional) In addition to Level 1 responsibilities, the Level 2 Analyst:
Supports, monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves server and network issues
Installs and configures hardware/software aligned with security standards
Assists in the design and planning of small projects
Provides project leadership, consultation, and mentoring to junior team members
Qualifications Certifications Required: At least one associate-level and one professional/senior-level certification, such as:
MCSA / MCSE
VCP (VMware Certified Professional)
CCNA / CCNP
CEH, GIAC, or CISSP
Preferred: CCNA, VCP, CISSP, or MCSA
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related IT field (MIS)
Experience Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with:
Windows Server administration
VMware
Firewall support
Storage Area Networks (SAN)
Cisco networking
OR equivalent combinations:
Associate's degree + 4 years relevant experience
Bachelor's degree + 3 years relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to support and maintain server and network infrastructure
Intermediate knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including:
Switching and routing
DNS / DHCP
Windows Active Directory
VMware
Hardware installation and maintenance
Firewall support
