We have partnered with a financial company in the New York, NY area to provide them with a Senior Operational Planning Analyst. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized must haves for the Senior Operational Planning Analyst:

#1. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics or its equivalent, with 7+ years of relevant work experience in a financial institution.

#2. Business Analyst experience is required.

#3. Basic knowledge in global and local banking regulations including BIS regulations and FED regulations, especially in the field of operational risk management.

#4. Basic accounting standard (IFRS, US GAAP) and practice in the banking industry.

#5. Basic audit skills and knowledge with internal control framework such as COSO

#6. Project management skills or business consultant experience

#7. Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols

Requirements for the Senior Operational Planning Analyst:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, with over 7 years of experience in a financial institution.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, SQL, and VBA. Familiarity with industry-specific technology systems for data collection, problem-solving, and understanding IT system requests.
• Required experience as a Business Analyst. Skills in business intelligence tools and analytical methods are desirable. Experience in loan operations or global markets is preferred. Understanding of wholesale banking business processes is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of global and local banking regulations, including BIS and FED regulations, particularly related to operational risk management.
• Familiarity with accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and their application in banking.
• Basic audit skills and knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO.
• Project management experience or background as a business consultant.
• Logical thinker with strong collaboration skills.
• Effective communicator with the ability to influence key stakeholders in supporting strategies, process improvements, and operational decisions.
• Experience in testing and mapping business processes and protocols.

Other Key Requirements:

• Hybrid (expected to be in office at 3 days a week)
• No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
