Senior Database Administrator (DBA) – Oracle & PostgreSQL (L4 Support | Managed Services)Experience: 8–12 YearsLocation: Hyderabad Employment Type: Full-timeFunction: Managed Services | Database Operations | Private Cloud SupportAbout the RoleWe are looking for a highly experienced Senior DBA (L4 Support) with strong hands-on expertise in both Oracle and PostgreSQL to join our Managed Services team.This role will support mission-critical enterprise database environments running on Private Cloud platforms, requiring deep operational ownership, performance expertise, and strong customer-facing capabilities. Candidates with experience supporting migration projects from Public Cloud to Private Cloud will be strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L4 DBA support for production-critical Oracle and PostgreSQL environments in a 24x7 managed services setup.Own end-to-end database operations including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning.Support enterprise workloads on Private Cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.Lead complex incident resolution, escalation handling, and root cause analysis (RCA) for customer-impacting issues.Manage database architectures involving:Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASMPostgreSQL replication, clustering, failover setupsDrive proactive initiatives including patching, upgrades, version migrations, and database hardening.Support database migration programs, especially:Public Cloud → Private Cloud transitionsCross-platform modernization and consolidationWork closely with infrastructure, cloud platform, storage, and application teams to resolve multi-layer issues.Act as a key technical interface for customers, ensuring timely communication, recommendations, and operational excellence.Maintain SOPs, runbooks, operational documentation, and best practice standards.Required Skills & Experience8–12 years of strong DBA experience in both Oracle and PostgreSQL (mandatory).Hands-on exposure to latest Oracle and PostgreSQL versions, upgrades, and patching cycles.Strong expertise in:Backup and recovery (RMAN, pgBackRest, etc.)Performance tuning and query optimizationHigh availability and disaster recovery designSecurity, compliance, and database governanceExperience working in Managed Services / Data Center Operations / Enterprise Support environments.Proven troubleshooting expertise in high-pressure production ecosystems.Preferred ExperienceStrong exposure to Private Cloud platforms (VMware/HCI/OpenShift-based environments).Experience supporting database workloads in cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) and migrating them into Private Cloud.Hands-on involvement in large-scale transformation and migration projects.Customer-Facing & Communication SkillsStrong ability to engage directly with enterprise customers during incidents, escalations, and architecture discussions.Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues and resolution plans clearly.Comfort working in SLA-driven, high-availability environments.Preferred QualificationsOracle OCP / PostgreSQL Certification (plus)ITIL awareness and ITSM tool exposure (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)Experience supporting regulated enterprise workloads (BFSI, Healthcare, Government)Why Join Us?Work on large-scale Oracle + PostgreSQL platforms supporting enterprise customersOpportunity to contribute to next-gen Private Cloud and Managed Database ServicesExposure to complex migration and modernization programsHigh ownership role within a mission-critical infrastructure operations team
