Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paralegal to support our firm’s partners. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, with a strong background in plaintiff personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. This role requires full-time, on-site commitment and offers the opportunity to work closely with senior legal professionals in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Prepare and file all pleadings, complaints, and bills of particulars. Manage the retrieval of medical records and handle Medicare and Medicaid final reporting.
  • Litigation Support: Draft and respond to discovery requests, assist with mediation and depositions, and contribute to trial preparation.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, conduct client intakes, and maintain ongoing client relationships.
  • Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments and court dates as needed, ensuring efficient case progression.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized case files, utilizing Time Matters and e-filing systems.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a personal injury paralegal, specifically handling plaintiff personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Prior experience reporting directly to partners is essential.
  • Language Skills: Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Time Matters, e-filing platforms, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-Focused: Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with clients, providing exceptional support throughout the litigation process.
