Senior Planner SchedulerSirius Staffing is seeking a Senior Planner Scheduler for a 6-month contract position in Apollo Beach, FL.Rate: 60-73hr.Position SummaryThe Planner Estimator is responsible for planning, scheduling, estimating, and coordinating contracted maintenance and project work within a heavy industrial power plant environment. This role ensures work packages are complete, schedules are accurate, contractor resources are optimized, and costs are properly forecasted and controlled. The Planner Estimator works closely with Operations & Maintenance leadership, construction teams, contractors, and suppliers to support both outage and non-outage work.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesScope, plan, and estimate contractor work in accordance with established procedures, including Planning Contracted Work (ES-CM-100).Ensure work packages are complete and compliant, including permits (confined space, burn), job aides, maintenance procedures, PM attachments, safe work practices, and environmental requirements.Develop, maintain, and monitor Primavera P6 schedules, including resource-loaded schedules and forecasts for outage and non-outage maintenance and projects.Coordinate and conduct schedule reviews with all stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with planned work.Provide guidance to Planner Estimators, Supervisors, and Contractors regarding scheduling, estimating, and execution of contractor work.Maintain contractor project schedules (daily, weekly, outage schedules) and communicate schedule changes to stakeholders.Monitor overtime usage, identify productivity improvement opportunities, and support resource optimization decisions.Ensure work orders are properly closed out and follow-up actions (repairs, replacements, procedure updates) are completed.Review, approve, and route contractor invoices in accordance with contract terms and authorization limits.Manage receipt of materials and procurement documentation and coordinate with Accounts Payable as required.Purchase engineered and non-engineered materials, including bulk materials, consumables, rentals, indirect facilities, and equipment, in alignment with schedules.Develop and maintain planning reports, KPIs, backlog reports, historical reports, and Plan of the Week schedules using systems such as SAP, Excel, and Workman.Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean processes, lessons learned, RFIs, and documentation control.Perform additional duties or special assignments as assigned by the O&M Construction Manager or Planning & Contractor Services leadership.QualificationsEducationRequired: High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred: College degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or a related field (may substitute for equivalent experience)Licenses / CertificationsPreferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationExperienceRequired: Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, scheduling, estimating, and cost forecasting within a heavy industrial power plant or similar industrial facilityPreferred: Experience creating work packages, planning and scheduling maintenance and outage work, estimating contractor labor, and cost forecastingKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesRequired:Proficient in work management systems related to maintenance planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and forecastingStrong knowledge of maintenance and outage management best practicesDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain KPIs and Plan of the Week schedulesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint (spreadsheets, pivot tables, macros, presentations)Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to gather, analyze, and clearly communicate complex information from multiple sourcesStrong understanding of estimate risk assessment, estimate quality measurement, and contingency developmentAdvanced Primavera (P6) skills with thorough knowledge of CPM scheduling, baselines, manpower-loaded schedules, schedule performance, and earned value managementPreferred:Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft ProjectStrong understanding of CPM scheduling methods and theorySirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
