As a Senior Product Manager at Impulse Space, you will lead the strategy and execution of our internal enterprise software ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex aerospace manufacturing operations and technical software execution. You will own the roadmap for the systems that buy our parts and build our vehicles (ERP, MRP, MES), acting as the voice of the Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams. You won't just gather requirements; you will define the digital strategy that allows Impulse to scale from prototype to high-rate production.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmapping: Define and maintain a high-level strategic roadmap for enterprise applications (ERP, WMS, MES), balancing immediate operational needs with long-term scalability.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Embed yourself with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership to understand their friction points and translate them into actionable software requirements.
- Lifecycle Management: Own the full product lifecycle for internal tools—from problem discovery and solution design (Build vs. Buy) to launch, user training, and post-deployment support.
- Requirements Definition: Translate complex manufacturing workflows into clear user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria for engineering and integration teams.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data warehousing and reporting tools to track key system metrics, identifying bottlenecks in the supply chain or production process that can be solved through software.
- User Advocacy: Champion the end-user experience, ensuring that shop-floor technicians and procurement agents have intuitive, high-performance tools that accelerate their workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a specific focus on Enterprise Software, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Demonstrated understanding of core Supply Chain and Manufacturing concepts (e.g., BOM management, procurement, inventory control, work orders, shop floor control).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and prioritize competing requests in a resource-constrained environment.
- Experience leading "Build vs. Buy" evaluations for critical business systems.
- Experience with Data Warehousing and BI tools (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, PowerBI) and the ability to write SQL for ad-hoc analysis.
- Hands-on experience with modern ERP or MES platforms (e.g., Odoo, NetSuite, SAP, Plex, Solumina).
- Background in the Aerospace, Automotive, or Hard-Tech industries.
- Experience managing integrations between hardware-centric design tools (PLM) and business execution systems (ERP).
- Certification in Product Management or Supply Chain (e.g., APICS/ASCM).
