Summary

Senior Product Managers are responsible for leading decision making, product strategy, definition, and execution for one or more products or feature areas that impact multiple product development teams or business functions.

By linking data back to sources rather than copying and pasting numbers, we ensure a level of data integrity, consistency, and control that cannot exist within legacy productivity suites all while making complex things feel easy and scaling to the most complex business needs.

As the Senior Product Manager for Data Sharing and Linking, you will be responsible for charting the course for future innovation within this hyper-critical area. Our customers adore our Linking capabilities and we need you to come on board to help us identify and deliver the next wave of opportunities within the space that will empower our customers to tackle ever more challenging data integrity concerns.

What Youll Do:

Product Knowledge & Ownership:

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and drive the strategic product vision for Data Sharing, aligning with the overarching goals of Workivas platform evolution. Lead efforts to establish Data Sharing as the connective tissue within the Workiva platform, enabling seamless content creation, discovery, utilization, and sharing.

  • Linking, Automation, and Integrations: Drive the implementation of linking capabilities, automation features, and integrations to enhance content accessibility and utility for our users.

  • Data Modeling: Apply expertise in data modeling to ensure effective structuring, organization, and utilization of shared content across the platform.

  • Document Automation: Drive initiatives for document automation, streamlining processes for increased efficiency in content creation and updates.

  • Document Workflow: Oversee the development and optimization of document workflows to enhance collaboration and consistency in content management.

  • Data Validation and Consistency: Implement measures for robust data validation and consistency, ensuring the integrity of shared content throughout the platform.

  • Business Intelligence Expertise: Leverage experience in Business Intelligence to enhance analytics and reporting capabilities associated with shared content.

  • Data Warehousing Knowledge: Apply knowledge of Data Warehousing to optimize the storage, retrieval, and management of data associated with shared content.

  • Go-to-Market Experience: Lead end-to-end Go-to-Market product strategies, from conceptualizing ideas to successful product launches. Drive marketing, sales, and communication efforts to maximize the impact of new features and solutions.

Influence :

  • User-Centric Experience: Champion a user-centric approach, aiming to shift the burden of content creation from users to the platform. Strive for a guided, repeatable, connected, and controlled user experience.

  • Stakeholder Management: Partners with multiple product development teams, product managers and leaders, and functional leaders. Influences direction of cross-functional and cross-team dependencies.

  • Relationship Building: Builds working relationships with many engineering, product, and functional leaders, often at director level and above.

  • Technical Acumen: Provides specialized technical guidance and domain knowledge to colleagues across the organization.

What Youll Need
Minimum qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager over areas of increasing complexity.

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building data warehouses, data modeling, and/or business intelligence capabilities.

  • Experience in data automation, workflow optimization and integration to enhance system interoperability.

  • MBA preferred.

  • A proven track record of leading the development of product vision and strategy from ideation to delivery and launch effort.

  • A self-starter mindset to execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.

  • Strong Leadership skills the ability to influence and inspire across multiple teams and job functions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills.

  • An excellent understanding of product development and how web technologies work.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an environment that promotes constant team communication.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel to meet with customers and/or key stakeholders, product teams in other Workiva locations (up to 20%).

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.

How Youll Be Rewarded:

  • Salary range in the US:
$120,000.00 - $204,000.00
  • A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
  • Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
  • 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
