This role will sit in the RCM Product org focusing on Middle Revenue/Point of Care Solutions and Automation for the MPP/EP space (enterprise partnerships) - This team is responsible for enabling technology and automation to enable operations partners to reduce costs and run their teams efficiently and effectively. The Senior Product Manager - Middle Revenue Cycle Automation & AI is responsible for driving the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI enabled and automation capabilities supporting the middle revenue cycle. As a senior individual contributor, this role partners closely with engineering, data science, design, revenue cycle operations, and customer stakeholders to deliver high impact automation that reduces manual effort, improves accuracy, accelerates workflow throughput, and delivers measurable financial and operational value. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision / Roadmap Ownership: Defines product vision and roadmap for AI and automation across middle revenue cycle workflows (coding, CDI, charge capture, utilization review); prioritizes high-impact use cases based on customer pain points, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes; refines strategy using market trends, customer feedback, and performance data Delivery & AI/ML Collaboration: Owns end-to-end product delivery, including requirements, user stories, and OKRs (automation, accuracy, throughput, financial impact); partners with data science on model design, testing, deployment, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop decisions Performance & Customer Outcomes: Drives adoption, automation lift, and operational impact; uses analytics and stakeholder insights to measure performance, communicate value, and inform continuous improvement Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborates across engineering, data science, design, architecture, RCM operations, compliance, and customer success; communicates product vision and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in healthcare technology, healthcare services, or enterprise software 5+ years of experience in product management with AI enabled or automation driven products Hands on experience supporting coding, CDI, (middle revenue space) or revenue cycle workflows within US healthcare Experience working closely with engineering and data science teams in agile development environments Experience partnering with Operations teams to understand operational workflows and identify product development opportunities Proven experience leveraging AI-driven automation to identify and drive cost saving initiatives Proven experience delivering workflow embedded automation or decision support products *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
