Senior Project Controls ManagerWe construct, renovate, and install nearly every electrical system component related to data center construction, facilities maintenance, electrical systems upgrades, and virtually anything else required to keep facilities running on the cutting edge of efficiency and technology. As a Senior Project Controls Manager, you will report to the CFO and COO/Group President and work closely with division Vice Presidents to oversee project teams responsible for cost control, forecasting, change management, scheduling, reporting, and earned value management for various large construction projects.Morley Moss is a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc. We also offer career paths for employees who want to improve or expand their skills and knowledge, including a degree assistance program, and self-directed or instructor-led training options.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOwn the project controls program through setup, implementation, and adherence checkpointsLead action-oriented weekly and/or monthly meetings with project controls team members in each divisionMaintaining open communication with business unit leadersMaintain a commitment to organized and accurate documentationCollaborate with internal & external key stakeholders by gaining feedback, attending meetings, and submitting update reportsUnderstanding and communicating the client's needs to relevant teams and business unit leadersStreamlining and communicating project controls processesDeveloping innovative process improvementsTraining management staff on project control proceduresEnsuring compliance with project control requirementsSupervise, lead, and mentor team membersMake data driven decisions regarding project controls performance by collecting and analyzing relevant statisticsPrepare and present reports to executive leadership on project control activitiesAnalyze, evaluate and incorporate lessons learned on project financials, commodities, labor, trends perspective on all sites to help enhance current and future construction successQualificationsRequired5+ years of Construction Project Controls or Sr. Project Manager experience on large commercial projectsBachelor's degree in a related field, including Finance, Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, etc., paired with industry experience OR an overall appropriate combination of certification(s), experience, and educationCommitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization, and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with customers, GCs, owners, and office personnelAbility to budget time appropriatelyConfidence to proactively request support or deadline adjustment when completing tasksAbility to work calmly under deadlines and external pressureKnowledge of AIA billings and formsExcellent math skillsStrong understanding of cost-to-complete forecasts, manpower loading, productivity tracking, change management, cashflow, AR/AP, and purchasingStrong computer skills and quick to learn new systemsEffective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on timeTactful conflict resolution and problem solving abilitiesPreferredExperience with Microsoft Office, Teams & SharePointExperience with ERP systems such as Trimble Vista and/or CoinsLanguage SkillsMust have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
