About the Role We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support construction management services for our valued client’s data center project. This role will work with a team of professionals, including the client’s senior project manager, other construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to oversee and deliver this hyper‑scale data center project. This is a significant project‑team position with many growth opportunities. General Responsibilities Include Oversee design development and project budget and cost. Verify and approve vendor payables, track vendor quantities through timesheets, and physical accounting. Assist in reviewing monthly contractor billing estimates for the owner. Lead regularly occurring project team meetings on behalf of the owner. Review, analyze, and evaluate contractor updates on behalf of the owner. Oversee both the cost report and the monthly billing. Manage extra work billings and claims under the supervision of the Project Manager. Manage the design change implementation and change management process. Manage the submittal and RFI process on behalf of the owner’s team. Ensure a safe project site and work environment. Requirements Eight to ten years of experience in construction management or a related field. Preference for experience in mission‑critical, industrial, and process‑heavy facilities. Ability to prepare and communicate cost and revenue projections. Knowledge of the permitting process and ability to drive the process to meet project timelines. Utilize effective written and oral communication skills. Understand how your role contributes to the organization’s goals. Consistently communicate and collaborate with team members and clients. Build relationships with peers, leaders, clients, and customers. Proactively participate in self‑development to continually enhance current skills and build new skills required to excel at the current role and prepare for career progression. Demonstrate ability to be dependable, diligent, and thorough. Exercise creativity and resourcefulness in managing the project effectively in a compressed timeframe.
