JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hire Resolve is currently working with a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager specializing in Geotechnical Engineering to join their team in New Jersey.

As a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee geotechnical engineering projects from conception through completion.

Hybrid position (2 days hybrid a week), but first 3 months in office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage geotechnical engineering investigations and studies for a variety of projects
  • Conduct site assessments and evaluate subsurface conditions
  • Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, and design recommendations
  • Develop and oversee laboratory testing programs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff members

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of experience with at least 8 years in project management. Previous experience in construction is desirable.
  • Licenses: Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required.
    • FE/EIT certification preferred.
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites are necessary.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, solid geometry, and trigonometry. Proficient in applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient or familiar with computer design software including Quake, WEAP, L-Pile, Finite Element Analysis, AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, Rocscience, MS Word, Excel, and Adobe.
