Senior Project Management Consultant – Energy & Construction (Contract) Are you an experienced project management professional with a passion for renewable energy and complex infrastructure? AP Recruiters & Associates, a veteran-owned staffing firm, is seeking a Senior Project Management Consultant to support a high-impact Engineering & Construction Business Unit focused on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This is a dynamic, multi-project role where no two days look the same — and your contributions will directly shape the future of clean energy across the U.S. and Canada. What You'll Be Doing: Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams across Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction from early-stage through construction-ready handoff Develop and optimize project technical scope, financial models, and feasibility analyses for BESS projects at varying stages of development Competitively source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services Interface with environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, and interconnection teams to identify and integrate all project variables Present financial model updates and project status briefings to management and executive stakeholders Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations and jurisdictional requirements Drive process improvement initiatives and leverage market data to maintain healthy financial models across a growing project portfolio What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance/Accounting, or a related field 4+ years of progressive project management experience in engineering and construction environments Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously at varying development stages Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools) and advanced Excel skills Experience with renewable energy, electricity markets, and/or battery/energy storage projects is a strong plus PMP Certification preferred; excellent written and verbal communication skills required Why Work with AP Recruiters & Associates?
