KMM is looking for a qualified Senior Project Manager to work in the New York Metro market. The KMM Construction Project Manager will be responsible for the effective management of all designated projects and their associated budgets and schedules, including coordinating all deliverables and requirements of the entire cross-functional project team, and that all projects are completed according to the underlying contract and to mutually agreed-upon timelines of the customer and the company.

Work Location: Candidate should anticipate working regular business hours in person in Greater NYC Metro area

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have 8 years of project management/construction management experience.
  • Wireless construction experience a plus
  • Ability to manage 5+ projects simultaneously
  • Ensure safe, on-time, high-quality, and on-budget delivery of construction projects within the assigned market.
  • Manage assigned projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all activities—including contracting, design, product/equipment ordering, permitting/regulatory, construction, close-out, and hand-off to ops—are effectively and efficiently coordinated and completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the underlying contract.
  • Provide management, oversight, and direction to all internal KMM Crews on assigned construction projects, as well as any assigned subcontractors.
  • Manage all external vendors necessary for timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Develop accurate project execution plans, staffing/scheduling plans (including labor, subcontractors, and project engineers), and tracking metrics.
  • Determine construction feasibility of assigned projects, including timelines, resource coordination, staging, access, and overall budget.
  • Perform bid walks and site surveys to evaluate site conditions, prepare cost estimates, and review scopes of work.
  • Lead internal and external deployment meetings with other managers and team members.
  • Attend customer deployment meetings to provide job status reports and resolve conflicts or issues.
  • Ensure all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy.
  • Inspect work during and after completion to ensure KMM and customer standards are met.
  • Review and red-line construction drawings, as appropriate.
  • Work with local and state municipalities to file, pull, and close applicable project permits.
  • Provide detailed project status and performance updates to the KMM Project Team.
  • Comply with KMM as well as established industry safety and quality standards, and make sure every member of the field crew follows these protocols too.
  • Train, direct, and assist field crew personnel with effective completion of assigned tasks.
  • Dedicated to continued training and professional development.
  • Always maintain equipment and vehicles in clean and operational condition.
  • Interact professionally with customer representatives.
  • Help KMM grow and develop the KMM Market Team and the overall Company Brand.
  • Build, develop, and grow relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure project success.
  • Communicate project goals and status with key project stakeholders and job site personnel.
  • Monitor, control, and report on financial performance from start to project completion.
  • Estimate, negotiate, and procure vendors and materials for projects.
  • Provide administrative oversight, addressing customer/regulatory agency concerns.
  • Oversee project personnel’s participation in all job site safety measures and OSHA standards adherence.
  • Track project tasks, including contracts, work authorizations, and closeout activities.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including project filing/sharing, RFIs & submittals, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Support clients in understanding and considering warranty issues.
  • Handle special duties and projects assigned, including coverage of other coordinators.
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Associate’s, Trade Certification, or 8+ years in Construction Project Management (Electrical, Telecommunications, Highway, Mechanical).
  • Prior project management experience with a proven track record of completing projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • High level of professionalism and strong sense of urgency.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance; proactive, motivated self-starter.
  • Flexibility and ability to handle/manage change effectively and efficiently.
  • Understanding of electrical/mechanical/construction design documents and ability to provide feedback prior to and during construction.
  • Ability to sequence electrical/mechanical installations with other construction trades.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to improving productivity and quality of work.
  • Ability/willingness to learn RS Means construction estimation software
  • Experience with online documentation software (Project Site, eSub, Procore).
