JOB SUMMARY
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager. The Project Manager will work under the direction of the Project Delivery Manager to oversee and manage multiple projects from proposal through design and construction phases. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing project scope, schedule, and budget while collaborating with diverse teams to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Project Initiation & Planning:
- Develop a thorough understanding of project scope, objectives, and requirements through review of RFPs, contracts, and discussions with the owner's representatives.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of project-specific Quality Control (QC) plans to ensure design teams follow established quality standards.
- Team Coordination & Communication:
- Schedule and lead project meetings with both owner teams and design teams, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate the work of Joint Venture partners, subconsultants, and internal team members, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Schedule & Budget Management:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including milestone and detailed schedules, to track progress and ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor and report on project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and that projects stay within budget.
- Provide regular progress updates to the owner's representatives and proactively identify risks or issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
- Documentation & Submittals Management:
- Coordinate the issuance of design submittals with all internal and external team members, ensuring timely review and approval processes.
- Manage the distribution of construction submittals, requests for information (RFIs), design addenda, and other relevant documentation.
- Invoice and Contract Management:
- Review client and vendor invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure all contract requirements are met and that any project modifications are documented and communicated to stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving & Process Improvement:
- Work through complex technical problems and develop solutions that align with project objectives.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve project processes and workflows, aiming to increase efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional licensure (P.E., AIA, or equivalent) is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a design and construction environment, with at least 5 years in a project management role.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects at various phases of development, from proposal through design and construction.
Skills & Expertise:
- Expertise in project management software (MS Project, MS Excel, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint) is essential.
- Experience publishing construction documents and coordinating with design teams for timely submittals.
- Knowledge of construction project delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CMAR.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to understand the big picture and make strategic decisions.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with Deltek Ajera is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and achieve project objectives efficiently.
