Your Role with the Company:
· Lead multiple projects, ensuring every detail, from tradespeople to permits, is in place before commencing. This ensures no time or resources are wasted once the project begins.
· Regularly evaluate the progress of assigned projects, making sure they adhere to company standards and meet our goals. This involves a mix of hands-on supervision and strategic oversight, from pre-construction phases to project close-outs.
· key project events, especially unforeseen challenges, change orders, or specific instructions from clients. This ensures transparency and accountability in all project dealings.
· Team Collaboration: Engage synergistically with the Project Engineer assigned, maximizing the blend of their technical know-how with your managerial expertise.
· Actively track project-related expenses, ensuring they align with the set budget. Collaborate closely with accounting to generate accurate billings, ensuring profitability and financial health for each project.
· Financial Estimation & Oversight: Determine anticipated project expenses, set budgetary boundaries, and apply strategic cost-saving approaches when needed.
· Lead the procurement process by creating and distributing subcontracts, ensuring collaborative relationships.
· Work together with Project Superintendents to synchronize schedules and guarantee unified execution.
· Regularly inform stakeholders of any project modifications, overseeing changes and ensuring all modifications are systematically recorded.
· Supervise the final stages of the project, ensuring financial settlements are transparent and liaising with finance departments for timely updates.
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other industry related field
· Substantial experience in lieu of degree also welcomed.
Background Profile:
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the heavy construction industry.
· Familiarity with USACE and FHWA is advantageous.
· Skilled in negotiations, conflict resolution, and maintaining top-tier customer service.
· Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a high-paced setting.
· Previous experience with HCSS is desired.
· Full-time, Monday to Friday at our Chagrin Falls, OH office.
