Senior Project Manager - Vallejo Multi-family Rehabilitation
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex multi-family residential and hospitality construction projects in Northern California. This role is with a well-established General Contractor specializing in affordable housing, multifamily developments, and hotel facilities throughout the Sacramento and Vallejo regions. The successful candidate will initially oversee a $15 million major multifamily rehabilitation project in Vallejo, playing a critical leadership role in managing project execution, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Must Haves

Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager for a General Contractor delivering multi-family residential and/or hospitality construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

Strong background managing affordable housing developments, mixed-use residential projects, or hotel facilities within California

Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders, consultants, and public agencies

Comprehensive knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, and project delivery best practices

Extensive experience with budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting on large-scale construction projects

Strong understanding of California building codes, local jurisdictional requirements, and permitting processes

Ability to manage schedules, subcontractor coordination, and procurement to meet aggressive timelines

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage high-performing project teams

Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and document control systems

Willingness and ability to work on-site across projects in the Sacramento and Vallejo areas

Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of construction projects from preconstruction planning through final closeout

Lead project teams including superintendents, project engineers, and administrative staff to ensure successful project execution

Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans to meet financial and timeline objectives

Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and public agencies to ensure alignment and compliance

Manage subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and performance throughout the project lifecycle

Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements

Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies

Review and approve change orders, pay applications, and cost reports

Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders

Drive project completion while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction
