Job Summary Senior Project Manager - Heavy Civil / Bridge Construction Location: Denver, CO Salary: $125,000–$150,000 or more depending on experience Schedule: 100% Onsite Benefits: 100% company‑paid medical, dental, and vision premiums About the Opportunity We’re partnering with a respected heavy civil contractor in Denver that is looking for a Senior Project Manager with CDOT bridge experience. This is a high‑impact role for someone who can run heavy civil and bridge projects, manage field teams, protect budgets, and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal leadership. The biggest selling point: this role is intended to grow into an Operations Manager opportunity within 1–3 years for the right person. What You’ll Be Doing Manage 1–4 heavy civil / bridge projects depending on size and complexity. Lead Project Engineers and support other PMs as needed. Work closely with Superintendents to manage schedules, manpower, milestones, and field execution. Own project financials, including job cost tracking, billing, change orders, forecasting, and budget control. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams to keep projects moving. Process RFIs, distribute updated plans/shop drawings, and maintain contract documentation. Assist with estimating and pricing change orders. Monitor project risks such as budget fade, delays, back‑charges, and extended equipment rentals. Support project startup, safety compliance, execution, and closeout. What They’re Looking For 7+ years of heavy civil project management experience. CDOT project experience required. Bridge construction experience required. Strong job costing, scheduling, change order, and client management experience. Ability to read plans, specs, RFIs, schedules, and contract documents. Experience with MS Project and/or Primavera. Microsoft Office proficiency. Viewpoint experience preferred but not required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
