Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Salary: $180,000–$210,000 DOE

A growing commercial general contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area is looking to connect with an experienced Senior Project Manager to help lead complex commercial projects across the region. This role is best suited to someone with a strong Bay Area commercial construction background who can manage technically challenging projects from preconstruction through closeout, while leading project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Ideal background:
  • Strong commercial GC experience in the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Experience with complex projects rather than repetitive or straightforward builds
  • Background in adaptive reuse, retrofit, structural upgrades, urban infill, historic, institutional, civic, or private negotiated work
  • Strong financial, contractual, client-facing, and team leadership ability
  • Comfortable stepping into a senior role without needing heavy training

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead commercial construction projects from early planning through delivery
  • Manage client relationships, consultants, subcontractors, schedule, budget, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls
  • Support preconstruction, constructability reviews, scope review, procurement, and project strategy

  • Work closely with Project Executives, field leadership, and ownership to drive project outcomes
  • Navigate complex stakeholder, design, permitting, and jurisdictional challenges
