Senior Project Manager Location: South Florida (Project Site and Office) Company: NOVA Construction Management Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000 + Benefits Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to spearhead our most complex industrial and commercial TI projects. This is a leadership role designed for a high-level construction professional who excels at the intersection of technical execution and client strategy. You will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, serving as the primary liaison between owners, developers, and municipal agencies. The ideal candidate brings a sophisticated understanding of civil and city-level infrastructure requirements, ensuring that large-scale interior buildouts are seamlessly integrated with site-wide constraints and local regulatory standards. Key Leadership Responsibilities Strategic Project Oversight: Direct all phases of the project lifecycle for marquee industrial and commercial TIs, ensuring safety, quality, and aggressive schedule milestones are met. Civil & Municipal Liaison: Manage complex permitting processes and coordinate with city/utility officials regarding civil requirements, infrastructure impacts, and code compliance. Financial Accountability: Full P&L responsibility for assigned projects. Manage budgets, track cost events, maintain contingency logs, and lead the buyout process in collaboration with estimating. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary advisor to owners, tenants, and design teams, fostering long-term relationships that drive repeat business. Field Leadership: Partner with Superintendents to optimize site logistics, inspections, and subcontractor performance in fast-tracked environments. Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical oversight to junior PMs and APMs, reinforcing NOVA’s standards of excellence. Meeting Leadership: Drive weekly OAC meetings, producing high-level reporting and actionable insights for executive-level stakeholders. Qualifications Experience: 8–12+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, with at least 5 years in a Senior PM or lead leadership capacity for a General Contractor. Sector Expertise: Proven track record in Tenant Improvement (TI) for large-scale warehouses, distribution centers, cold storage, or manufacturing facilities. Civil/City Knowledge: Significant experience navigating municipal approvals, civil infrastructure requirements, and city-level project coordination. Technical Proficiency: Power-user of Procore and Bluebeam. Advanced skills in scheduling software and Microsoft Excel. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred. Local Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the South Florida subcontractor market and regional building codes. Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills; ability to translate technical complexities for non-technical owners.
