A bit about us We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our fast-paced construction company. This individual will play a crucial role in our accounting department, focusing primarily on our property accounting and commercial real estate accounting needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing day‑to‑day use of Yardi software for financial reporting. Oversee commercial real estate accounting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Utilize Yardi software for financial management and reporting. Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure all financial reports are accurate and submitted on time. Review and analyze property and portfolio level financial statements. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Interact with management to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property accounting and commercial real estate accounting is required. Proficiency with Yardi software is a must. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proactive and able to identify issues and propose solutions. Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience in the construction industry is a plus. Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
